Situtated at the end of an unmade track, (suitable for a range of cars but may cause problems for cars with lowered suspension) South Lodge is an imposing stone and brick built farmhouse. It is surrounded by an abundance of wild life. Rabbits, pheasants and foxes are regular visitors and wild Red Deer can often be seen grazing the adjoining fields.

This wonderfully peacefully setting ensures a restful, relaxing stay away from everyday hustle and bustle. South Lodge Bed and Breakfast offers an ideal base for enthusiasts of hunting, 3 packs of stag hounds and a number of foxhound kennels are within in easy access. Fishing and shooting are also available. If you prefer a quiet stroll South Lodge is in the heart of a network of footpath and bridleway whilst for the more adventurous Exmoor in all its unrivalled glory is only a short trip away as is the stunning North Devon/Somerset coast. Although South Lodge is situated in the heart of the Devon countryside the pretty village of Bampton, famed for its annual fair and pony sale, is only a five minute drive. Or a twenty minute walk!

One twin and one double room, both have private bathroom/ tea and coffee making facilities.
Relax in our conservatory with a cup of tea and a slice of cake and watch the sun go down.
All food is home cooked and sourced locally, individual requirements are catered for by arrangement.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
South Lodge B&B is tastefully decorated and our aim is to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
